40th Gunpla Anniversary welcomes a limited Gundarium Alloy RX-78-2

Bandai Spirits has delivered various plastic Gunpla models at different scales and assemble complexity levels. At 40th Anniversary, the brand will release a very limited 1/144 RX-78-2 Gundam model made from Gundarium Alloy, according to the Gundam anime, a lunar Titanium and GND ores made alloy that could only be produced in zero-gravity condition. The Gundarium alloy model would aim to replicate the material quality of the fictional alloy, with alloy made from a mixture of Titanium (Ti), Aluminium(AI) and Yttrium(Yo). The model will comes with the Gundarium Alloy armor pieces that you can assembled to the inner ABS plastic frame. A premium acrylic display base will be included with the kit, along with a guarantee card that authenticate the production by Bandai Hobby Center. It’d also come with a premium packaging box that you can display the kit as separate pieces in the pre-cut foam box.

The limited kit is now available for second batch pre-order on Premium Bandai Japan at 220,000 Yen (approximately $200 USD, the highest priced Gunpla model so far.) The second batch is expected to be shipped in February 2021.
