PERFECT GRADE UNLEASHED! RX-78-2 returns with 40 years of Gunpla engineering mastery

Bandai returns to the beginning of its Gunpla history, celebrating the model kit’s 40th Anniversary with a brand new Perfect Grade Unleashed RX-78-2 Gundam. Fans will be able to build the renovated and featureful RX-78 from ground up: from assembling the framework and body structure, to the assembly of the armor and arsenals, the 1/60 model kit is filled with innovation and technologies that are developed in the brand’s model making history.

The model kit will feature the largest insert frame system, with a total leg length of about 180mm. The PGU RX-78-2 will have 94 movable axes—the highest in Gunpla history; the fuselage, which uses as the core of the upper body components, contains 40 moveable axes alone! The PG rated model kit includes bare bone body frame which reveals tons of mechanical details in the machine; in addition, the body frame in this PGU model will feature metallic color molding and metallic plated parts which reflect 4 different types of metals. 

On the exterior, the armor will be accentuated with silver plating, matte plating, and chrome plating components; the newly developed etching seal will further enhance the metallic character on the plated parts. The PGU RX-78-2 will feature the most hatch openings on a single body; it will also equip the latest LED feature in Gunpla model kit. A new compact RGB LED system is introduced which allow you to light up areas in the head, chest, back pack and the light saber; the kit is so small that it fits in with the rest of the components without sacrificing the movability of the finish model.
